The Linton-Stockton School Corporation values its many employees, as well as our students, families and community members that we help to serve each day. We would like for everyone, students, parents, teachers, staff, administrators, and community members to take a moment to help us celebrate the great work of the individuals who help make our district a better place for our students.

The "Cause for Applause" Award program recognizes Linton-Stockton School Corporation employees that have gone above and beyond their daily expectations. This is a monthly honor and anyone can nominate an employee for this award.

August Employee of the Month

The Head Custodian at Linton-Stockton High School is this month’s Cause for Applause winner. This is a monthly award from the Linton-Stockton School Corporation for those who go above and beyond their normal duties.

This month, Bobby Houston won the honor. He was nominated for the award because “he’s the best at what he does and he cares deeply for each and every student. He has helped me and my family through all the tough times we’ve had, and he’s always been there to talk to.”

Bobby started as a custodian for the Linton-Stockton School Corporation in 1989.  He graduated from Linton-Stockton High School and he jokingly says that he has a Master Degree in Custodial Arts! Bobby is married to Pam; he has a daughter Haylee, a stepson Cain, and a granddaughter Rogue. Bobby admits to having a “great family” and a “great work family”.

In his free time, Bobby “enjoys spending time in the great outdoors, riding his bike, running the country roads in his Jeep, spending time with Rogue and his family.”  He also “enjoys being around the water, pool, rivers, and camping and canoeing with friends and family.  Bobby feels “truly blessed and he would like to thank everyone for honoring him with this award!”

Congratulations Bobby!
